Submitting a request

Leave is always according to the schedule and you cannot apply for more hours than you work on a day. This is how you apply a leave request:

  1. Go to Leave in the top bar, press the blue plus at the top right and select Absence, Presence or Balance mutation;

  2. Fill in the type of leave, the employee, and if necessary, a title or description;

  3. Choose entire days or fill in a start and end time. The number of hours for 'whole day' is automatically calculated from your schedule;

  4. Submit the request. Then it's up to your assessor to approve or reject it. If you do this as an Admin, the employee will be notified, and if you do this as an employee, the assessor will be notified.

Editing, cancelling or deleting a request

Requests can be changed retroactively within Rework. Did you make a mistake, do you want to take more days off or use a different type of leave? Then you can simply edit it. You can't however, change an absence request into a presence or balance mutation request or vice versa. If this is the case, you need to delete the request and make a new request.

You can always edit a request that is pending. If your employer gave you permission within the Rework settings, you can edit approved requests too. Otherwise you can leave a message for your reviewer within the request at 'messages and history'.

  1. Go to Leave and type the name of the employee in the search bar;

  2. Find the relevant application in the results and click on it;

  3. Then choose modify/cancel/delete. If you don't have these options, then it's not allowed according to the company settings. Leave a message in your request under 'messages and history'. Your reviewer will receive an email about this.
