Managing offices

A company can have many offices, and typically when these offices are located in different countries, other rules apply on national holidays and leave hours. It would be great if this can be configured in your leave administration software. Rework provides this option. In this article we will guide you step by step how to create and setup a new office. Steps are also provided on editing information of an office or deleting one.

Creating a new office

Every Rework account has a standard office, this is the so-called head office. If your company consists of multiple offices with different rules for leave hours and/or national holidays, you can add more officers with their own rules by following the next steps:

  1. Go to settings;

  2. Click on offices;

  3. Click on add a new office;

  4. Think up a name for the new office;

  5. Select a list of default holidays (this is optional, if you don't want to have any list selected choose "none");

  6. Click on save to add the new office.

Assigning employees to the new office

Now the new office is created, it is time to assign existing employees to the new office (if these are employees that do not have a Rework account, you can now choose an office when creating a new employee). In order to add employees to the newly created office, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to team;

  2. Click on the name of the employee that you want to add to the new office;

  3. Click on edit and choose edit personal data;

  4. Here you can change the current office to the new office from the dropdown list;

  5. Down the page, click on edit employee to save the changes.

Editing an office

To edit the name or default holiday list of an office, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to settings;

  2. Click on offices;

  3. Click on the office that needs editing;

  4. Change the name and/or the list of default holidays;

  5. Click on save to save the changes.

Deleting an office

To delete an office, follow the steps below. Word of caution! You can only delete an office if there are no employees assigned to the office. To remove an employee from an office, assign them to an other office, archive or delete the employee.

  1. Go to settings;

  2. Click on offices;

  3. Hover your mouse over the office that needs to be deleted and click on the three black dots that appear;

  4. Choose delete and approve the extra confirmation to delete the office;
